The department was founded in 1395 by a team of professors from Iran university of medical sciences .The mission of the center is to carry out basic and practical researches in order to use microbiology in biotechnology development in line with the goals of the third-generation university and obviously, in line with the goals of Ministry of Health and Medical Education and to enhance the level of community's health. Currently, the center is located at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Microbiology.
